Egypt and Kuwait have agreed to advance bilateral economic, investment, and trade relations in a joint statement issued shortly after Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi visit to Kuwait as part of his Gulf tour.
Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah performed the Kuwaiti traditional Ardha dance during the welcoming celebration for President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday.
The President was received by Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.
Kuwait's Ambassador to Cairo, Ghanem Saqr Al-Ghanem described Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi visit to his country, per an invitation from the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, as ‘historic’.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi discussed on Tuesday with Emir of Kuwait Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the regional developments, especially with regard to Israel's resumption of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.
Sheikh Al-Sabah expressed his appreciation for Egypt's historical role in supporting Kuwait at various levels, praising in this regard Egypt's important role in sending experts who contributed to supporting his country's renaissance in various fields.
The two sides also discussed ways to develop trade, industrial and investment cooperation, in the interest of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
The meeting, which highlighted the growing interest in Egypt’s infrastructure, centered on the company’s investment plans within the country’s airport sector.
President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi received Sunday Kuwaiti Minister of Defense Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al Sabah to discuss regional affairs.
The two ministers also exchanged views on several regional issues, with a focus on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, including the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the area.
Originally due in April 2024, the deposit will now mature in April 2025.
The Prime Minister highlighted plans to soon organize the Egyptian-Kuwaiti Businessmen Forum, aimed at fostering deeper cooperation between the business communities of both nations.

It also aims for cooperating on projects in Africa.

The minister also presented the steps and measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate and eliminate obstacles that face investors.
