Egypt condemns Iranian infiltration into Kuwaiti territory

CAIRO – 12 May 2026: Egypt on Tuesday condemned the attempted infiltration of Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island by a number of Iranian elements, which resulted in the injury of a member of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Egypt expressed its full solidarity with the sisterly State of Kuwait, affirming its support for all security and legal measures taken by the Kuwaiti authorities to protect the country’s security and people, and to safeguard its sovereignty in the face of any actions targeting its stability.

Egypt also reiterated its firm and unwavering support for Kuwait and affirmed its categorical rejection of any attempts to destabilize the Gulf states or infringe upon their sovereignty.
