The Egyptian Red Crescent convoy, titled "Zad Al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza" consisted of dozens of trucks transporting more than 9,000 tonnes of urgent humanitarian assistance to the enclave.
The convoy trucks carry basic essentials for winter including 47,400 blankets, about 74,250 pieces of warming clothes, and more than 9,300 shelter tents, the ERC added.
This initiative comes as part of the ERC’s ongoing efforts as the national coordination mechanism for delivering aid to Gaza. The convoy carried 235,000 food baskets, more than two tons of flour, more than 1,900 tons of essential medical and relief materials, and about 1,000 tons of petroleum products.
