Zad al-Izza convoy to Gaza - file
CAIRO - 4 September 2025: The Egyptian Red Crescent announced the launch of the 30th "Zad Al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza" convoy, carrying several trucks carrying urgent humanitarian aid to the southern Gaza Strip via the Karam Abu Salem crossing.
This is part of its ongoing efforts as a national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza. The convoy includes approximately 2,750 tons of essential aid, including more than 2,400 tons of food baskets and flour, and more than 300 tons of essential medical and relief supplies needed by the Strip. This comes as part of Egypt's efforts to provide food and relief support to the people of Gaza.
The Egyptian Red Crescent has been present on the border since the beginning of the crisis, as the Rafah crossing has never been completely closed on the Egyptian side. The Egyptian Red Crescent has continued its readiness at all logistical centers and its ongoing efforts to ensure the entry of aid, which has amounted to more than half a million tons of humanitarian and relief aid, thanks to the efforts of 35,000 volunteers from the association.
