CAIRO - 7 April 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched Tuesday the 170th 'Zad al-Izza' convoy, constituting trucks of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

This is considered the second convoy to be launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent on Tuesday.

This initiative is part of the Red Crescent's ongoing efforts as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza. The convoy included over 44,000 food baskets, approximately 460 tons of flour, more than 760 tons of relief supplies and personal hygiene items, and about 1,435 tons of petroleum products to operate hospitals and vital facilities in the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has also delivered essential winter supplies to Gaza, including more than 177,630 winter clothing items and over 4,745 tents to shelter those affected.

The Egyptian Red Crescent continues its humanitarian services at the Rafah crossing, preparing to receive the 32nd group of wounded, sick, and injured Palestinians, both arriving and departing, along with their companions, and facilitating their passage.
