CAIRO - 10 June 2026: The 211th humanitarian aid convoy departed from the Rafah border crossing towards the Karam Abu Salem crossing, en route to the Gaza Strip.

This convoy is part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the Strip, which is affecting more than two million Palestinians.

What was witnessed at the Rafah crossing before the convoy's departure?

Early this morning, trucks carrying food and humanitarian aid for those affected by the Israeli war on the Strip were lined up at the Rafah crossing's outer perimeter before proceeding to the Karam Abu Salem crossing via the side gate of the Rafah border crossing.

A source in the Egyptian Red Crescent stated that the trucks are part of the "Zad al-Izza" [which translates to: Provision of Dignity from Egypt to Gaza] convoy, carrying large quantities of food and relief aid, including food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned goods, medicine, personal hygiene items, tents, clothing, and petroleum products.

He pointed out that the amount of aid that has been brought into Gaza since the start of the war on Gaza has reached about 50,000 trucks carrying more than 995,000 tons of various humanitarian and relief aid, in addition to ambulances and fuel trucks.
