CAIRO – 16 February 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) dispatched its 139th “Zad Al-Izza… From Egypt to Gaza” convoy early this morning, carrying more than 6,120 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid as part of its ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian people.

The convoy includes food baskets, flour, medicines, relief and personal care supplies, petroleum products, and winter essentials such as warm clothing, blankets, and tents for those affected.

In a related development, Egyptian Red Crescent teams continue their humanitarian efforts at the Rafah border crossing on the Egyptian side, receiving and facilitating the departure of the 11th batch of wounded and ill Palestinians, and assisting them through crossing procedures. The ERC provides a comprehensive package of relief services, including psychological support for children, family reunification assistance, distribution of hot meals, provision of warm clothing and personal hygiene items, and the distribution of “return kits” to those heading back to the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a continuous presence at the border since the beginning of the crisis. The Rafah crossing has remained open from the Egyptian side, with logistical centers fully operational. To date, the ERC has delivered more than 800,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, supported by the efforts of over 65,000 volunteers.
