CAIRO - 3 March 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 148th "Zad al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza" convoy Tuesday, carrying a number of trucks of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

This initiative is part of its ongoing efforts as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to Gaza.

The convoy included more than 85,600 food baskets, over 300 tons of flour, approximately 470 tons of relief supplies, and about 925 tons of petroleum products to operate hospitals and vital facilities, all in support of urgent basic needs within the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent intensified its delivery of essential winter supplies due to the severe weather conditions.

These supplies included approximately 8,840 winter clothing items, over 11,890 blankets, and around 1,325 tents to shelter those affected.

This initiative is part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to support its brothers and sisters in Gaza. The Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a presence at the border since the beginning of the crisis, ensuring the Rafah crossing remained open from the Egyptian side. It has continued its preparedness at all logistical centers and its tireless efforts to deliver over 800,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, thanks to the efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers from the organization.
