Minister of Culture Nivine El-Kilany announced that all artistic activities and events across the country will be suspended for three days in mourning of the death of Kuwaiti Emir, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
Tuesday’s meetings come shortly after Egypt hosted the fourth conference of the Arab Parliament. Following the conference, Sisi held a meeting in Cairo with Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanim.
The letter extended the emir’s greetings to Sisi and expressed the keenness to promote bilateral relations between Egypt and Kuwait, a statement by the Egyptian Presidency read.
Sisi’s remarks came as he received on Saturday Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah, the Kuwaiti foreign minister, who carried a message from Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber.
Sisi wished the new Kuwaiti emir success in carrying out his duties and expressed his full confidence in Sheikh Nawaf’s ability to achieve further prosperity and progress in Kuwait.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived Thursday in Egypt back from Kuwait, after offering condolences over the death of Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
