Egypt's Sisi phones Saudi king; wishes him, Kuwaiti emir speedy recovery

CAIRO - 21 July 2020: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi wished on Tuesday a speedy recovery for both of Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

In a phone call, Sisi reassured King Salma’s health according to Presidency spokesperson Bassam Rady. He wished him health and wellness.

King Salman, for his part, expressed sincere appreciation for Sisi’s wishes, pointing to the depth and privacy of the Egyptian-Saudi relations and the historical ties between the two countries.

 Both officials agreed during the call to continue intensive consultation and coordination on various Arab and regional issues during the coming period.

on his official social media accounts, Sisi prayed for both of Saudi king and Kuwaiti emir.

 

 

“I wish a speedy recovery for my brother, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, praying for him to return safely for his people and the Arab nation, may God provide him with good health and wellness.” Sisi wrote.

Kuwait's 91-year-old ruler was admitted to hospital on Saturday for medical checks and this morning he underwent a surgery. The country's crown prince is temporarily carrying out some of his duties.

On his official social media pages, Sisi also wished a speedy recovery for Saudi King Salman. He wished that the Saudi monarch would "return quickly to continue...leading his country."

The Egyptian leader also asked God to save Saudi Arabia and all Arab countries.
