The Ministry of Labor announced that Thursday, May 7, 2026, will be an official paid holiday for private sector employees on the occasion of Labor Day, instead of Friday, May 1, 2026.
Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly has approved Thursday, May 7, 2026, as an official paid holiday for all state employees in observance of Labor Day, replacing Friday, May 1.
