CAIRO – 28 February 2020: According to the directives of Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the Ministries of Tourism and Antiquities and Civil Aviation decided to extend the initiative to support domestic tourism in Egypt until May15.
Egypt’s aviation authority agreed to Russia's Nordwind Airlines to operate four direct flights a week to Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, starting next March 28.
The Red Sea Ports Authority said maritime activities and navigation in the two ports have resumed

In light of the resumption of cultural tourism in Egypt, starting from the beginning of the previous September, a number of tourist groups from France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Ukraine and Belarus flocked to Luxor from Hurghada as part of the "one-day" trips.
Earlier in the day, Hurghada airport received three flights by Easy Jet, Fly Egypt, and Air Cairo, transferring 423 tourists coming from Geneva, Paris, and Prague.
It expected that the face-to-face meetings will be mainstreamed into the 5+5 Joint Military Commission.
During a Saturday visit to Upper Egypt’s Luxor and the Red Sea’s Hurghada, Antiquities Minister Khaled el-Enany said Egypt gives tourists the opportunity to see into Pharaonic history and enjoy the beach in one day.
Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mustafa Waziri said that these groups include tourists from Ukraine and France, who arrived in Hurghada on Aug. 31 to spend their vacation on the picturesque beaches of Egypt.
Egypt’s Min. of Tourism & Antiquities Khaled el-Anani and Zurab Pololikashvili, secretary-general of the World Tourism Organization, began their tour on Aug. 23 in Hurghada by visiting Hurghada Museum.
Pololikashvili’s visit came at Anani’s invitation.
