With an unprecedented success: ALDAU Development dazzles the local art scene with the 2nd edition of its ALDAU International Art Festival in Hurghada

ADD Art celebrated the great success of the second edition of the ALDAU International Art Festival “A Sea of Influences” held at the jewel of the Red Sea, Hurghada, at the Arena between September 22nd and October 1st, 2023.

AIAF brought together 34 prominent local and international visual artists to Hurghada, allowing them to create artworks, exchange experiences, and explore innovative ideas, aiming to create an environment that encourages cross-cultural dialogue among them.

This ten-day artistic and cultural Festival, which was held under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities, together with the Red Sea Governorate, witnessed the presence of esteemed attendees, namely Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, Mr. Amr El Qady, Chairman of the Tourism Promotion Authority, Eng. Bassel Sami Saad, Chairman of ALDAU Development, and all of them were accompanied by government officials, media representatives, VIPs, influencers, bloggers, journalists, and key public figures.

"We believe that incorporating art initiatives into our business is a vital step that adds value to our brand and to the art community and should be taken by many fellow developers. AIAF has focused on bringing together a diverse group of artists in terms of nationality, practice and age, which has had both a direct and an indirect impact on the development of their artistic practices” said Malak Shenouda, ALDAU Development’s Head of Arts.
 
Drawing on ALDAU Development’s continuous efforts to promote art and culture through ongoing initiatives, she continued, "We are really looking forward to positioning AIAF as the main event that will make Hurghada an artistic destination and ALDAU Art Promenade a cultural hub." 
 
The festival witnessed the honorable participation of 34 prominent artists from 12 countries around the globe and they are Hailu Rifle from Ethiopia, Tarig Kamal from Sudan, Ali Hussain from Bahrain, Maria Chillon from Spain, Afraa Ahmed from Yemen, Mark Butler from the United Kingdom, Agnes Michalczyk from Austria, Mounia Boutaleb from Morocco, Constantin Migliorini from Italy, Maisa Shaldan from Saudi Arabia, and finally Najet Dhahbi and Salwa Alaydi from Tunisia and from Egypt Alaa Aboelhamd, Mina Nassef, Ahmed Saber, Pance Ahmed, Omar Senada, Aya Elfallah, Mina Samir, Aliaa Elgready, Ibrahim Khatab, Fatma Salah, Eman Elbanna, Hani Rashed, Omar Gabr, Hemat Rayan, Mostafa Rabie, Amani Moussa, Alaa Ayman, Abdoul, Asaad Farahat, Mostafa Hosny and Tamer Ragab.
