The Egyptian president highlighted to the visiting Slovenian official the Egyptian efforts to revive the ceasefire in Gaza and exchange captives and prisoners, while ensuring adequate aid deliveries to save the enclave from the current humanitarian crisis.
The foreign minister highlighted several instances of widespread destruction globally, including in Gaza, Japan, and parts of Europe, stressing that these areas were rehabilitated without expelling residents.
The governor addressed the “mere unfounded” allegations regarding the city’s purpose, stating that New Rafah is a significant national project aimed at reconstruction and providing decent housing for citizens affected by previous events in the area.
Erdoğan stated, "It is absolutely unacceptable to approve this forced displacement. This would be a pure atrocity."
Sisi and Ibrahim affirmed the need to intensify international efforts to establish the Palestinian state along the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
"This is the unified Arab position," the king said on Twitter after the meeting with Trump.
The committee will explore opportunities for expanding Egypt's role in reconstruction, considering the potential interest of various international and regional parties in participating in the rebuilding efforts.
“Egypt reaffirms its rejection of the resettlement of Gaza residents and adheres to its firm position,” the sources said.
Egypt warned that the repercussions of these ideas are considered injustice and an infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, saying “Egypt will not be a party to it.”
They reaffirmed “rejection of any violation of those inalienable rights, whether through settlement activities, expulsion and demolition of homes, annexation of land, or by displacing the owners through forced displacement or encouraging the transfer or uprooting of Palestinians from their land in any form or under any circumstances or justifications.”
Scores of Egyptians in all governorates took to the streets on Friday to voice rejection of the Israeli aggression and schemes to relocate Gazans to Sinai.
