Egypt’s government has allocated LE 150 billion to complete the implementation of the targeted projects in the first phase of the Decent Life [Haya Karima] presidential Initiative.
Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population announced on Monday the provision of free medical and treatment services to up to 141,327 citizens, through 131 medical convoys, during April.
This came during a meeting chaired by Madbouli to follow up the executive status of the first phase of "Decent Life" as well as preparations for launching the second phase.
Upper Egypt accounts for 96.8% of the total projects of Haya Karima initiative, according to a Wednesday study by the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies.
Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Hala El-Said said that during the past 8 years, nearly half of the allocated budget of the medium and small enterprises, were directed to women in Upper Egypt.
The economic empowerment initiative is within "Forsa" (opportunity) programme aimed at enabling self-employment among the beneficiaries of Takaful wa Karama.
Talking about the "Decent Life" presidential initiative, the minister said that it was launched by President Sisi and aims to provide a decent life for the most vulnerable groups nationwide.
Coordinator of Haya Karima [Decent Life] Presidential Initiative at Al-Shuhada village in the Menoufia Governorate, Mohamed Rabie, confirmed that the Initiative, has provided nearly 10,500 job opportunities through several projects.

Decent Life Foundation organized a celebration, in cooperation with Minya Governorate, at the Roman open theater, as part of the “May joy lasts” initiative.
The initiative supports the efforts of African nations to implement their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) by integrating climate action into sustainable rural development and enhance the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
Chairman of Decent Life’s board of trustees, Aya Omar, said this is not the first time that the two foundations cooperate with each other, citing their previous cooperation in providing orphan girls with furniture to be able to get married.
The ministry revealed that 30 percent of the target has been already accomplished.
Meantime, Madbouli highlighted the importance of completing all Decent Life (Haya Karima) 's projects within the framework of the set time table.
The fund also is organizing workshops for children from those areas and Haya Karima villages to train them on how to think with positively, face problems and and make sound decisions.

The new societal initiative comes upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to ease burdens on the needy.
The minister's statements came during a meeting Monday with UNICEF representative in Cairo Jeremy Hopkins and his accompanying delegation.
