CAIRO - 2 May 2023: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted the importance of following up the implementation of current projects of "Decent Life" presidential initiative to upgrade the Egyptian countryside.

This came during a meeting chaired by Madbouli to follow up the executive status of the first phase of "Decent Life" as well as preparations for launching the second phase.

The meeting was attended by First Assistant Prime Minister Engineer Randa El Menshawy, the board member of Dar El Handasa Company, which is overseeing the project, Director General of Decent Life Projects Ahmed Abdel Azeim as well as engineering consultant Alaa El Zanati.

During the meeting, the premier reiterated the importance of accelerating the finalization of service complexes to help the residents after receiving their units.

The first phase of "Decent Life" covers 1,477 villages in 20 governorates nationwide.

The "Decent Life" presidential initiative - the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Countryside - is a multi-pronged and integrated initiative, launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in 2019. The Initiative aims at improving the living conditions and daily life of Egyptian citizens, within a framework of integration and unity of efforts among the state institutions, private sector entities, civil society and development partners in Egypt.

The Initiative also aims to provide an integrated package of services, including various aspects of health, social and living conditions. It is a huge shared responsibility among these different parties to provide a decent life to Egyptian citizens, especially vulnerable groups.
