Egypt Iraq Relations
During the meeting in Cairo, El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s full and continued support for Iraq in confronting regional challenges especially terrorism.
The two sides exchanged views on several regional issues of mutual concern, with Barzani sharing his assessment of developments in the region.
El-Sisi highlighted the capabilities of Egyptian companies, particularly in energy and infrastructure, and their experience at home and abroad, inviting the Kurdistan government to benefit from their ability to deliver projects to high standards at competitive costs.
El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s support for the Iraqi unity and territorial integrity and praised security cooperation between Egypt and Iraq.
