The Official Gazette (Al-Waqa'i' al-Misriyya) published President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s Decision No. 417 of 2023 regarding pardoning a new group of some convicts.
The visit will not be deducted from the number of legalized visits granted for prisoners throughout their jail term.
A new group of 1,920 prisoners are eligible to be released in accordance with presidential pardon terms, said Society Protection Sector at the Egyptian Ministry of Interior in a statement on Saturday.
