In a phone call with UK’s Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on Saturday, Abdelatty highlighted the duties of the anticipated ISF in monitoring the ceasefire in Gaza and protecting civilians under the UN Security Council’s recently-adopted Resolution 2803.
Abdelatty outlined Egypt’s position on regional crises, placing the Palestinian cause at the forefront.

Egypt's FM Badr Abdelatty stressed the need to implement the latest UN Security Council resolution on Gaza.
The two leaders emphasized the need to build on the resolution to solidify the ceasefire, ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, and lay the groundwork for the swift start of reconstruction efforts.
The two ministers also reviewed the progress in the implementation of U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan. They emphasized the necessity of maintaining the territorial unity of the Palestinian lands by linking the West Bank and the Gaza Strip in a way that ensures that Palestinians manage their own affairs, and safeguards Palestinian national unity.
