UEFA announces club rankings for 2016/2017

CAIRO – 7 June 2017: The UEFA has announced the new rankings for all European clubs, as it does at the end of each season. The rankings are based on the club’s cumulative points over the previous five seasons.

According to the UEFA, these are the top 10 clubs after the 2016/2017 season:

1. Champions League winners Real Madrid with 176.9 points.

2. Bundesliga winner Bayern Munich with 154.8 points.

3. La Liga 2015/2016 title winners Barcelona with 151.9 points.

4. Atletico Madrid, which was knocked from the semi-finals of the Champions League, with 142.9 points.

5. Juventus, Seria A title winners, with 142.9 points.

6. The French side, Paris Saint-Germain, comes in 6th with 126.3 points.

7. German club Borussia Dortmund with 124.8 points.

8. Sevilla from the Spanish side, which won three European League titles in the past four years, with 112.9 points.

9. Primeira League title winner Benfica with 111.8 points.

10. Premier League title winners Chelsea FC with 106.1 points.

Manchester United, the European League winner this season, came in 15th with 95.1 points.
