CAIRO – 3 December 2017: Queen Riri and Gucci have been named the King and Queen of 2017 since they have topped your fashion, style searches, and social media newsfeed.

The global fashion search platform, Lyst, has gathered all of the data from 80 million shoppers, 120 countries, 100 million searches, 5 million fashion products, 12,000 designers and stores to unveil exactly what we as consumers and fashion lovers have been following in 2017.

Gucci won hearts this year when they announced that they will no longer be using real fur or animal skin in their creations. This made them a favorite and Alessandro Michele’s creations have made a big statement using Gucci’s signature red and green, big logo and beautiful floral print all while gaining a giant cult following.

The Gucci Marmont purse that has been popping up on your social media feed was also a big hit this year. Who knows, it may even become the next classic Chanel 2.55 handbag.

Comfort won in shoes this year (endless cheering); flat pool slide sandals are as gorgeous as they are comfortable.

Mom and Boyfriend Jeans made a big statement this year, yet the skinny jeans will never really leave! It’s good to know that we have options that can let our legs breath.

Danger Red won in wardrobes this year. Yet a full head-to-toe black outfit will still be an option in 2018.

The most popular print of spring was not floral, but it was actually Gingham; it makes a perfect match for your vintage mom jeans.

This year was definitely the year of the original ‘BadGalRiri’. Rihanna brought out all the stops this year from her Fenty beauty line, the must-have Fenty Puma collection, and her just being a style icon had everyone turning on their Instagram notifications to get the news first. We are waiting for her to make another unforgettable style moment. She even got a street named after her in her hometown.

Tassel Earrings that remind you of the fancy curtains that your mom only brings out on special occasions won this year’s jewelry trends.
