CAIRO – 12 July 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and UAE’s President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have emphasized continued coordination amid ongoing regional challenges as they discussed developments in the Middle East.
El-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed at Alamain International Airport on Sunday during a fraternal visit, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.
The two leaders discussed overall bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments, particularly ongoing efforts to prevent further escalation in the Middle East, according to the statement.
They stressed the importance of continued consultation, coordination and joint action on various issues in light of the challenges facing the region.
El-Sisi welcomed the UAE leader as a dear guest in his second home, Egypt, underscoring the special place Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the UAE hold among the Egyptian people in light of the deep-rooted and multifaceted ties between the two countries.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, for his part, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome, affirming the historic and brotherly bonds that unite the leaderships and peoples of Egypt and the UAE.
