UAE President
El-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed at Alamain International Airport on Sunday during a fraternal visit, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.
El-Sisi welcomed the UAE leader as a dear guest in his second home, Egypt, underscoring the special place Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the UAE hold among the Egyptian people in light of the deep-rooted and multifaceted ties between the two countries.
“What affects the UAE affects Egypt,” El-Sisi said.
Iran has been launching missiles and drones at locations across Gulf states, targeting the US military presence as well as other civilian facilities in response to coordinated strikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian cities.
El-Sisi emphasized that military solutions will not serve the interests of any party and risk plunging the region into a cycle of violence, instability and bloodshed.
The visit came as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the close ties between the two nations’ leaderships and to affirm the importance of continued consultation and coordination in support of the interests of both peoples as well as the stability and security of the region.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his profound appreciation for President El-Sisi for the warm reception he received, lauding the brotherly and historic bonds the leaderships and peoples of both countries share.
During their meeting, Sisi and bin Zayed are expected to address key issues of mutual interest, particularly the current regional situation, according to a statement from the Egyptian Presidency.
The Union of Arab Tribes- led by Ibrahim Al-Organi- welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s visit to Egypt where he spends his annual vacation in the New Alamein City.
The Grand Imam of Al Azhar, Ahmed El-Tayeb, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, have emphasized the importance of ongoing Arab, Islamic, and international efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.
