The project is supervised by the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Authority, which oversees a group of development projects founded on the integration of agriculture, industry, logistics, and infrastructure within a comprehensive vision aimed at supporting the national economy and reducing dependence on imports. The cost of the project is nearly LE 800 billion.
The project is located along the Rod El Farag-El Dabaa axis, which was established as part of Egypt’s national roads project.
President El-Sisi reaffirmed the importance of government efforts to secure petroleum supplies necessary to ensure the continuous operation of electricity stations without interruption, stressing the need to increase the share of new and renewable energy within the national energy mix.
Sisi emphasized the necessity of continuously updating the comprehensive plan to achieve energy security and increase reliance on renewable energy sources.
