International Museum Day
Archeologists celebrate the International Museum Day every year on May 18.
Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will organise an exclusive tour at the historic Gayer-Anderson Museum (Beit Al-Kriteleyh) in celebration of the International Museum Day held annually on May 18.
The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir will present a collection of artifacts that shed light on ancient customs and traditions, linking them to modern day traditions.
Last year, more than 37,000 museums participated in the event in about 158 countries and territories, according to the ICOM website.
Numerous Museums and cultural institutions all over the world celebrated on Thursday the “International Museum Day”, through series of events and activities.
The Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo organizes a grand celebration, marking the International Museum Day on Thursday.
The world celebrates International Museum Day that is held annually on 18 May.
