Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Djiboutian counterpart Ismail Omar Guelleh have witnessed the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on Wednesday.
The discussions in the Djiboutian capital will also cover relations between both countries, said the Egyptian Presidency in a statement.

Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah al Sisi said in a joint press conference with Djiboutian counterpart Ismail Omar Guelleh that the bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Djibouti witnessed ‘important qualitative’ steps in all fields during the past period.

Sisi reiterated Egypt’s fixed stance on the need to reach a comprehensive, legally-binding agreement on the filling and operation of the massive Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, the Egyptian Presidency said in a statement.
Sisi voiced support to Djibouti in such hard circumstances and expressed readiness to dispatch medical and relief aids to back the Djiboutian national efforts following the floods.
