The Interior Ministry has deployed police forces intensively nationwide, to secure the celebrations of Muslim’s 4-day Eid Al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), during which Muslims slaughter sheep and cows and give meat to the poor.
A total of 6,505 areas were allocated for performing the prayer and appointed 13,000 Imams to give the Eid sermons nationwide. Some of the allocated praying areas were set in vicinity of some churches.
The ministry said it declared a state of emergency in various hospitals to receive all cases during the four-day Eid.
