The two-day summit is also attended by United Nations Secretary General António Guterres, head of the African Union, business leaders, international financial institutions, development partners and representatives of the African and French business sectors.
The spokesperson for the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Pascal Confavreau, affirmed that President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Egypt is of "utmost importance."
The visit follows a Cairo strategic dialogue session focused on educational cooperation and teacher training.
