Al-Maridani Mosque was built in AD 1340 just outside the city wall near Zuweila Gate [Bab Zuweila] and is considered one of the most beautiful mosques in Old Cairo.
The President instructed to provide full support for these projects.
Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri and CEO Aga Khan Cultural Services Sherif Erian signed on Thursday a memorandum of understanding to renovate the mosque of Altinbugha al-Maridani.
