Italy’s new Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will attend the UN Climate Change Conference of 2022 (COP27) in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh, Italy’s news agency ANSA reported, quoting her office as saying.
In a tweet, Meloni thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for wishing the Italian government good work.
“I would like to congratulate Ms. Giorgia Meloni for assuming her role as Italy's prime minister, wishing her success in leading Italy towards a future that befits its civilization and history,” President Sisi said in a Telegram.
In a Facebook post, President Sisi wished the new Italian leader success in leading Italy towards a prosperous bright future.
