On 20 August, a United Nations humanitarian convoy comprising 16 trucks carrying essential food supplies was struck by aerial attacks in Mellit, North Darfur. This incident comes after a previous attack on a UN convoy in Al Koma, also in North Darfur, on 2 June, said the UN Human Rights Council in a statement on August 22, 2025.
