Egypt has welcomed the efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia and Oman in working out a sustainable solution to the Yemeni crisis as Saudi Arabia hosted a round of talks with a Yemeni delegation in a bid to crystallize such efforts.
The meeting was announced by the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, via the platform "X," previously known as "Twitter."
The role will be filled by Nayef al-Sudairi, the current ambassador to Jordan.
Neither the Rapid Support Forces nor the Saudi host authorities commented on the suspension at that time.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry is heading Sunday to the Jordanian capital, Amman, to take part in the meeting of a committee, having as members Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, on Syria.
“The successive and dangerous developments in Sudan necessitate holding this meeting for consultation and coordination among the Arab countries to defuse the current crisis, and work to restore stability to Sudan as soon as possible,” said Abu Zeid.
