The board was established by US President Donald Trump in January as an international organization aimed at formulating sustainable solutions to regional and international conflicts, particularly the Palestinian cause.
Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates stepped up diplomatic coordination on Saturday ahead of this week’s high‑level meeting of the Gaza Board of Peace (BoP) in Washington.
Egypt announced its approval to participate and committed to completing the necessary legal and constitutional procedures.
Egypt’s intelligence chief, Minister Hassan Rashad, has been named as a member of the newly formed Gaza Executive Board, a key body established to support effective governance in the war-battered enclave.
