Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty received Ali Shaath, chairman of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, on Monday. Abdelatty congratulated Shaath on his appointment and wished him success in his new role.
Egypt’s intelligence chief, Minister Hassan Rashad, has been named as a member of the newly formed Gaza Executive Board, a key body established to support effective governance in the war-battered enclave.
Rashad emphasized Egypt’s firm commitment to ensuring the success of the committee’s work and providing full support to enable it to carry out its assigned responsibilities in Gaza.
Shaath revealed that the committee's first step in the rehabilitation and reconstruction plan is the urgent provision of 200,000 prefabricated housing units as an immediate and safe alternative for residents suffering harsh conditions in tents.
