Syria Strikes
The attacks were part of an operation launched in December following an assault on a joint US-Syrian government patrol in central Syria that killed two US soldiers and a civilian interpreter.
Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty made the remarks during a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani on the sidelines of the Doha Forum.
The attacks come after recent fighting between elements of the Druze, a religious group with around one million adherents who primarily inhabit Syria, Lebanon and Israel, and Bedouin tribes this week.
Israel struck Syrian armed forces that had been dispatched to the Syrian southern city of Sweida, near Israel, amid deadly clashes between Druze fighters and Bedouin tribes early this week.
Israeli forces on Wednesday shelled a building belonging to the UN Palestinian refugee agency, UNRWA, in Jabalia of northern Gaza, killing 19 people, including nine children, according to Gaza’s civil defense agency.
