Koeman announces squad for Real Sociedad’s game

CAIRO-20 March 2021: Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman announced on Saturday the team’s squad for their upcoming clash in the league against Real Sociedad at Anoeta Stadium.

Barcelona will miss their captains Gerrard Pique and Sergi Roberto, who are still recovering from their injuries. Roberto participated in the team’s training session on Saturday morning but he is not fully fit to be back.

Barcelona’s squad for the match consists of:
Goalkeepers: Marc Andre ter Stegen, Neto, Arnau Tenas

Defenders: Sergino Dest, Ronald Araujo, Samuel Umtiti, Oscar Mingueza, Clement Lenglet, Junior Firpo, Jordi Alba

Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Miralem Pjanic, Riqui Puig, Frenkie de Jong, Illaix Moriba, Pedri, Matheus Fernandes

Forwards: Antoine Griezmann, Martin Braithwaite, Leo Messi, Ousmane Dembele, Francisco Trincao.

“They are a strong team, one of the best in the league. They like to play, build up and press the opposition. They are interesting matches in many ways and it will be a tough one." Koeman said in the pre-match press conference.

Barcelona aim to get the three points and keep chasing the leaders, Atletico Madrid, who are topping the table with 4 clear points.
