CAIRO-6 February 2021: The FIFA Referees Committee announced on Saturday that Emirati referee Mohamed Abdullah will officiate the FIFA Club World Cup semi-final clash between Al Ahly and Bayern Munich at Ahmed Bin Ali stadium.

Abdullah will be assisted by Emirati referees, Mohamed Al Hammadi and Hasan Al Mahri.

Abdullah was one of the referees chosen for 2018 FIFA World Cup and he took charge of France’s clash against Peru in the World Cup group stage which ended with a 1-0 victory for Les Blues.

Al Ahly secured a spot in the semi-finals after defeating Al Duhail SC 1-0 on Thursday thanks to a goal from Hussein El Shahat.

The Red Devils will face a European side in a competitive match for the first time in the club's history.

Al Ahly appear in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup for the third time in the club's history.

Al Ahly's best achievement in the competition came in 2006 when the African champions secured the bronze medal.
