CAIRO - 6 February 2021: Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane revealed that his team is expecting a tough clash against Bayern Munich but the team will do their best to represent the African football in the best possible way.

"We are facing a strong team with many talented players. Analyzing the opponent and their tactics is very important but we are not talking here just about tactics, we must be in our best shape to produce a strong performance.” Mosimane told the club's official website.

Mosimane will be present in the Club World Cup semis for the first time in his career as he failed to qualify to the semi-finals in his first participation in the competition in 2016 when he was coaching Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mosimane added " We are taking the Club World Cup step by step. In the beginning, we wanted to win the CAF Champions League title to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup then we wanted to defeat Al Duhail SC to reach the semi-finals. Now, we are facing a tough challenge against the European champions.”

The Red Devils will face a European side in a competitive match for the first time in the club's history.

Al Ahly appear in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup for the third time in the club's history.

Al Ahly's best achievement in the competition came in 2006 when the African champions secured the bronze medal.
