CAIRO-1 October 2020: Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman revealed that the team captain Lionel Messi's call for unity in Barcelona is a positive thing.

Barcelona witnessed a great conflict this summer between Messi and the club president Josep Maria Bartomeu after the latter stood against Messi's desire to leave the Catalan giants.

"It is a positive thing when the captain calls for unity and I hope we can be calmer than it has been lately." Barcelona Dutch manager said.

Koeman had a perfect start with the Catalans as Barcelona opened La Liga season with a 4_0 victory at home against Villarreal.

Lionel Messi scored Barcelona's third goal in the game and set up the fourth while the first two goals in the game was scored by the team's promising talent Ansu Fati.

Koeman added "The way to keep Messi happy is to win matches."

Barcelona will face Celta Vigo at Estadio de Balaídos on Thursday night in the second week of La Liga.
