CAIRO, 09 August 2020: Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, confirmed that the state dealt with all the files that faced the Coronavirus crisis with great mentality, including the return of sports activity.

 

Ashraf Sobhy said in an interview on ON TIME Sports: "Any decision taken is calculated on several directions, and we had a challenge and we had a vision for the return of activity and the opinion was collective,”

 

The Minister of Sports added: "The state has dealt with all the files that faced the Corona crisis with great mentality, including the return of sports activity, and any decision that will be dangerous, we will immediately withdraw it because it is the most important for the health and safety of people, and to a very large extent the role of clubs and their officials, whether agreeing to the return of the league or canceling it because the options weren’t "

 

The Minister of Sports explained: "Each country has its own conditions and the overall has had great joy at the return of activity and I was very happy in the match between Zamalek and Al-Masry, and we will attend Al-Ahly match.”

 

 Zamalek defeated Al Masry 1-0 in the first match after the return of the Egyptian league on Thursday. Al Ahly will face Enppi on Sunday evening.

 

Ashraf Sobhy continued: "We are ready to hold the final of the African Champions League in Egypt as soon as Al-Ahly and Zamalek reach the final, and we are preparing for everything that the CAF will ask for to hold the match in the presence of the fans."
