CAIRO_4 June 2020: Egypt Today sports editor took part on Wednesday in a global video conference organized by LaLiga to discuss the long-awaited return of LaLiga.

Sports journalists from different outlets worldwide and some of LaLiga stars including Gaizka Mandieta, Frédéric Kanoute, Diego Forlan, Luis Garcia, Fernando Sanz, Steve McManaman and Christian Karembeu, discussed different issues regarding the return of football in Spain.

Former Villarreal and Atletico Madrid Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan commented on the player's fitness ahead of LaLiga return, saying "Footballers are a lot more professional these days and there is a lot of information available for them. They know what to do and how to take care of their bodies. But I agree that the break might have been a bit complicated for the players because the season was moving to the business end when it was suddenly halted,”

Former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid winger, Luis Garcia, believes that the players will find it difficult to return to action after months away from football. He said "The players had three months of break and weren't playing any kind of football. The most important thing is their safety,"

The conference also discussed the fierce competition over the league title between Barcelona who lead the league table with 58 points and Real Madrid who comes second with 56 points.

Former Real Madrid English midfielder Steve McManaman believes that Los Blancos "have a big chance to win the title".

The English midfielder said "Both Barca and Real can go full throttle at each other now but I hope Real Madrid win the title."

LaLiga returns on Thursday 11 June with El grand derby in Seville between Sevilla and Real Betis at Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.
