Several Spanish Barcelona players arrived at the club’s headquarters this morning, Wednesday, in order to undergo medical exams in preparation for re-training. Football activities stopped since last March due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and now everyone is getting ready to be back on track.

The Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that Sergei Roberto was the first player to conduct medical tests at FC Barcelona, and several players followed him, "Rakitic, Linglet, and Ter Stegen."

The newspaper added that later this group was joined by Frenkie de Yong, Nelson Semedo, Arthur Melo and Martin Braithwaite, explaining that the players appeared to comply with medical procedures by wearing masks and gloves and in separate cars.

The Spanish club Barcelona announced yesterday, Tuesday, that the players will return to training in the sports city again starting today, Wednesday, in preparation for the resumption of the Spanish league.

The official statement, which was published by FC Barcelona on its official website, said that the players are scheduled to undergo medical tests inside the club on Wednesday to ensure their safety after examining the club's facilities on Tuesday.

The statement added that the players and members of the technical staff will conduct medical tests today, Wednesday, to ensure that they are free of the Coronavirus, before training begins individually in the coming days.

Barcelona tops the Spanish league table this season, with 58 points, two points ahead of the traditional rivals Real Madrid, the runner-up with 56 points.
