Al-Badry excludes essential players from friendly match against KSA

CAIRO – 28 January 2018: Al Ahly coaching staff, headed by Hossam Al-Badry,decided to eliminate a number of the essential players from the squad that will travel to Saudi Arabia for a friendly match against the Saudi national team next Friday.

Al Ahly is supposed to travel to Saudi Arabia on Thursday on a private jet for the friendly match, which will be against the Saudi national team, consisting only of the players who play outside the Kingdom. The Egyptian team will return to Alexandria after the game immediately to prepare for their game against Al Ittihad of Alexandria, scheduled for Sunday February 4 in the 22nd round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Egyptian Premier League current champion Al Ahly will face Al Ismaily on Tuesday at Borg Al Arab stadium in the 21st round of the Egyptian league before traveling to Saudi Arabia.

Al-Badry decided to include the players who don’t participate in the starting lineup of the team to his list of players who will travel to Saudi Arabia for the friendly match, meanwhile he excluded the essential players from traveling to save their energy.
