CAIRO – 14 December 2017: Bayern Munich’s French winger, Franck Ribery participated in his 336th game for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on Wednesday night against Cologne to beat Munich’s former Bosnian midfielder, Hasan Salihamidžić’s record of 335 games.

Bayern Munich defeated Cologne 1-0 thanks to Robert Lewandowski’s goal. Ribery played 76 minutes in the game before being substituted.

Ribery joined Bayern Munich in 2007 from France’s Marseille and since then he has become a regular player at the club.

Ribery played his first game in the Bundesliga against Hansa Rostock on August 11, 2007. Bayern won the game 3-0.

Ribery won seven Bundesliga titles, five DFB-Pokal cups, three German Super cups, the 2013 Champions league, the 2013 UEFA Super Cup and the 2013 FIFA Club World Cup.

2013 was the best year in Ribery’s career when he and his team won the UEFA Champions League, the Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. That year he also won the French Player of the Year award and came third in the FIFA Ballon d’Or.
