CAIRO-20 May 2021: Mamelodi Sundowns boss Manqoba Mngqithi believes that his team has everything needed to overturn their loss against Al Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals.

"We are confident in the group that we have. I was even telling the players yesterday that if anyone has the capacity to comeback from this position, it is Sundowns." Mngqithi told News24 on Thursday.

The South African giants lost 2-0 in Cairo last Saturday, with goals from Taher Mohamed Taher and Salah Mohsen and they hope to reverse their fortunes when they host the title-holders on Saturday at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The head coach added "Minimizing our mistakes, I believe that we can get the result that we want. Although, I know it will not be easy mission."

Al Ahly faced Sundowns last season in the same stage of the competition. The Red Devils went to South Africa with a 2-0 advantage and they secured a 1-1 draw in South Africa to book a place in the competition's semis.

Al Ahly's current head coach Pitso Mosimane knows the opponent's strength points very well as he has been coaching the team between 2012 and 2020, before leaving last October to coach Al Ahly.

The game starts on Saturday at 3:00 PM.
