CAIRO – 10 December 2017: Social media has been taken over by users commenting on Yasmine Raeis’s silk pyjama suit from the red carpet at the Dubai International Film Festival. As always there are negative and positive comments about her look. Yet what some have failed to realize is that comfort has taken over fashion in the past year.

Flat pool slide sandals made a huge impact in 2017; they are gorgeous and comfortable. There are many jumpsuits and suits that have the so-called pyjama look but in fact, they are the next big thing. Since we all know that it all comes down to the fabric and styling, it shouldn’t have been a surprise to see pyjama suits coming out of the bedroom and onto the runway at Arwa al-Banawi SS18 show at Fashion Forward Dubai Season 10.

It all began back in the twenties by Coco Chanel when she created her signature ivory and black piping luxury silk pyjamas in order to achieve a comfortable chic and tailored yet feminine look.

Now everyone is following the trend and simply pulling it off in their very own style and accessories.
