As humans we’re always used to a specific routine in our day and we stick to it to get optimum results. Whether it’s a workout, skincare or even a studying routine. However, the key to growth, progress, and even enjoyment lies in making a small shift in our routines and that implies on your fitness journey too.
If you’re starting to feel bored from your usual workout plan, or you’re starting to view it as an obligation then this might be time to shake things up. Here are the key signs that your fitness routine needs a little refresh.
 
1. You Don't See Progress Anymore
If you don’t see yourself moving forward or seeing more progress, then your body may be used to the same weights or movements in your routine. In order to see improvement, try to increase your workout intensity, and try a new exercise to challenge your body more.
 
2. You Feel More Bored Than Usual
It's okay to feel bored every once in a while, but if it’s a recurring feeling whenever you hit the gym, and you count the minutes till you finish your workout then it’s a major sign you need to change your fitness routine.
 
3. You’re Not Enjoying the Results
So, you are consistent in your workouts, but when you look at the results they don't feel as rewarding as much. If your routine is leaving you stressed, tired, or unhappy with the results, it’s time to reconsider your approach and focus on workouts that make you feel your best.
 
4. Your Mental Health is Deteriorating
Your workout should make you feel happy, uplift your mood and energise you, so feeling drained, or dreading the whole process is a surefire sign that you need to change your whole fitness goals, or the scenery. Consider trying something calming, like yoga or pilates.
