CAIRO – 20 July 2017: With people getting less sleep due to the stress of work or social media addictive behaviors that most of the people show nowadays, they reach out for Red Bull, Coffee, and Espresso when they feel sleepy at work.
However, what people do not know is that Caffeine might have a negative effect on their sleeping cycle.
Here are 5 tips according to Bustle on how to keep yourself awake:
1) Move Around;
You will be more productive if you took a minute or two walking around the office. Plus, you will not feel sleepy afterwards.
2) Connect with people face to face;
People absorb energy from each other; hence face to face contact will boost people's energy up and will most likely make them alert.
3) Eat a healthy Snack;
Food naturally gives energy, but healthy food will boost people's energy up like; eggs, avocado, and nuts.
4) Drink water;
Sometimes people are dehydrated, hence they feel sleepy. Therefore, people have to have a bottle of water with them in the office to keep them hydrated and stop them from feeling sleepy.
5) Chew a Gum;
As mentioned in Bustle, a study found out that people who chew gum are more alert than the ones who do not. Thus, Chewing gum will help people be alert and not feel sleepy.
