As humans, we are wired to connect. We seek connection because the right people give us hope, love, and aspirations and make life better when things are chaotic. It’s important to connect with people and explore other opinions, personalities, and backgrounds. Because without a connection, we wouldn’t be able to empathize with each other, and we won’t thrive together.

Seeking help in times of need and reaching out to people who care is extremely vital to keep ourselves from falling into the pits of despair and depression.  However, each person’s journey to healing and relaxation is different than the other. And that is okay. So, when it comes to mental health and how to handle the hurdles and chaos of life, sometimes the best way to deal with it is to just walk away into your own cocoon for a while.

Sometimes, It’s Ok to Be Alone in Times of Need.
Regardless of where you come from or your problems, there will be a point when you decide that you are not okay. That it’s time to drop everything and search for your peace of mind.

In a world filled with noise, endless voices in your mind giving you mixed messages and conflicting emotions, this is the time when you have to pull off the plug.

Yes, seeking therapy is crucial but what people fail to realize is that in order to finally get to that realization point of going to a therapist, you need to accept your problems and your feelings. This vital step is accomplished through self-reflection, looking back at our lives, and determining the cause of all the trouble.

Despite being our own worst enemy, and worst critic, we know ourselves better than anyone else. And sometimes, “me time” is what we need.

Seeking Solace in Solitude
A quietness in a time of endless war on your mind and body doesn’t only include figuring out the root of your problems, it’s about searching for things that keep you calm and collected. It’s about searching for ways to make you happy without feeling like you have to do so much.

Simple steps like listening to your favorite songs, reading a book, or traveling alone in a serene place like the beach can do wonders for your mind.

Like phones, laptops, and cars, our minds need to recharge and stop working for a while to avoid being laggy.

Final Thoughts
To give back to society, to the people you love and most importantly to yourself, you need to be generous and kind to your mind. Some find joy in being surrounded by people, others like being alone. Whatever the method is, as long as it makes you feel comfortable, and can help improve your mood, then it is a good one.
