CAIRO – 20 December 2018: Head of the Museums Department at the Ministry of Antiquities, Elham Salah el-Din, declared that works at the Hurghada Museum are proceeding, stressing that construction works will be completed within three months.

Salah el-Din also declared to Youm7 that the number of artifacts to be displayed in the museum will be no less than 1000 pieces in order to attract tourists to visit the museum. The head of the Museums Department at the Ministry of Antiquities also stated that this step will increase the overall revenues of the ministry.

Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mustafa Waziri, declared that the Museum of Hurghada will be launched in the second half of 2019, stressing that the partnership between the ministry and the investor in this museum is the first of its kind.

“The investor is Egyptian, not Arab as it was rumored,” exposed Waziri.
